Pioneer in the climbing industry, EB Climbing was the first brand to market the first climbing shoe: the PA model created in 1947 by a young French climber (Pierre ALLAIN). Having bought the Pierre Allain business, Edmond BOURDONNEAU began manufacturing climbing shoes under the EB initials in 1950. EB joined the famous catalog of the Vieux Campeur in 1967 with a special “Gratton" model which became "SUPER GRATTON" in 1968. This model met with worldwide success and the brand received two Gold Laurels for export. As the world leader acclaimed by all climbers, the brand continues to develop with the entry of new athletes into the EB team and the development of new models. After 65 years of existence, EB is still present on the market with a full range of climbing shoes, for men and women. It also offers equipment (backpack, magnesia bag) and a small line of sportswear.
