Pyrenex is a French brand that manufactures down jackets and clothing but also bedding products since 1859. The story began at the bottom of the Pyrenean mountains where Abel Crabos started collecting feathers from farms and markets. Based in Saint-Sever, France, Pyrenex made their first down jackets during the second world war to help the French prisoners in Germany to stay warm by sending them jackets made from down and feathers. In the sixties, André Crabos (Abel’s grandson) launched the first clothing and bedding collections. Today, Pyrenex still has part of its production in France. Pyrenex creates down jackets, parkas, pullovers, sleeping bags, bedding and homewear products such as pillows and duvet. Pyrenean down is so superior to others that it allowed Pyrenex to branch out to Germany, Swtizerland, Austria, Scandinavia, USA and Japan! In 2015, Pyrenex opened its first flagship store in Paris.
