The story of Rossignol skis started in 1907 in France, when Abel Rossignol who was a French carpenter, made his first pair of handmade skis in solid wood.
Rossignol Skis built their reputation thanks to many ski champions, from Emile Allais and Jean Vuarnet to Bode Miller, Jean-Baptiste Grange or Tessa Worley all part of the Rossignol racing team at their own time. Same for snowboarding with Xavier De Le Rue and Marion Haerty (to quote only the best known examples) or XC skiing with Martin Fourcade and Vincent Vittoz! In 1964, Rossignol introduced the first ski provided with a fiberglass construction, a revolution at that time! Then in the seventies, Rossignol arrives on the North American market and became the world number one ski brand.
